EAST FISHKILL – A Mohegan Lake man was arrested by East Fishkill Police early Friday morning following a domestic dispute with his wife at a residence on Palen Road.
Just minutes before midnight late Thursday night, police were called for a violence of an order of protection. When they got there, they learned Donald Curry, 51, had fled.
An East Fishkill Police officer spotted him on Route 52 and attempted to pull him over, but he struck two marked police cars. Officers eventually stopped Curry’s vehicle on I-84 on the ramp to the Taconic State Parkway.
Curry appeared intoxicated at the time.
Curry was charged with two counts each of attempted assault, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, criminal contempt, aggravated driving while intoxicated and several vehicle and traffic violations. He was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.
Officers on the scene were assisted by State Police and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.
