NEW WINDSOR – Medline Industries, the Wawayanda health products distribution company, has already sought financial incentives to build a new facility in the Town of Wallkill, but on Thursday, the company asked the Orange County Industrial Development Agency to consider approving those incentives for another site.
IDA Chief Operating Officer Laurie Villasuso said preliminary approval was granted for that location as well.
“Now they are also interested in a property in Montgomery, so we accepted that and authorized another public hearing, this time in the Town of Montgomery so that Medline can make their determination about which site they are ultimately going to choose,” Villasuso said.
The IDA board also gave its final approval for financial incentives to Dana Distributors, which wants to expand its facilities in Goshen for additional product lines. Those incentives include a PILOT and exemptions on sales tax for construction materials and mortgage filing fees.
The Kraftify project, in the Town of Warwick also was granted final approval for financial incentives. That company operates a craft brewery in Pine Island and wants to expand its operations to a former Mid-Orange Correctional Facility building in what is now the Warwick Technology Park.
Those incentives include a 485B tax abatement, as well as sales tax and mortgage filing fee exemptions.
