SAUGERTIES – The Saugerties Post Office will be dedicated next
Monday as the Congressman Maurice D. Hinchey Post Office.
Congress has approved and the president has signed the legislation providing
the designation for the late House of Representatives member who called
Saugerties his home.
The ceremony at the post office at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 17 is
expected to be attended by family, friends and former colleagues of the
lawmaker, who died in November 2017 at age 79.
