GOSHEN – The Blooming Grove man, who was charged with murder for shooting his brother to death on February 6 at Mountain Lodge Park, pled guilty before Orange County Court Judge Craig Stephen Brown.
George Bawn, 38, admitted that he intentionally killed his brother, James Bawn, 35. Prosecutors argued the victim has been shot four times in the head and torso with a .45 caliber pistol. Under a plea agreement, Bawn will be sentenced to 20 years to life in state prison when he returns to court next month.
“There is no more serious crime than intentional murder, and the relationship between this defendant and the victim makes this crime even more incomprehensible,” said District Attorney David Hoovler.
