Robbery suspect sought

WAPPINGER – State Police in Wappinger are investigating a robbery on Thursday, August 30 on Scarborough Lane in the Town of Wappinger.
Investigation revealed that a middle age man, about five feet, seven inches tall, with average build, short dark hair, wearing a dark gray short-sleeved button-down shirt, blue pants, and dark shoes, came to the residence posing as a Verizon employee.
The man told the resident he had a “special upgrade package” to offer, then entered the home and pushed the victim, stealing her wallet. He reportedly did not display any credentials or any type of Verizon insignia.
