Home health care aide charged with stealing from client’s safe

NEW WINDSOR – A home health aide at a New Windsor residence is charged with felony grand larceny in connection with money stolen from a safe in the home. A total of $3,900 was taken.
On Wednesday, the resident reported money was stolen from her safe for a second time. The first time, back in May, money was also removed.
New Windsor Police developed the home health aide, Brenda Doyle, 64, of Middletown, as a suspect. When they questioned her, she made admissions to stealing the money on several occasions including in May. She was arraigned and released to appear in town court at a later date.
Officers recovered $1,900 at Doyle’s home.
