WHITE PLAINS – A former special education teacher at Lewis and Clark High School in the Bronx was sentenced in Westchester County Court on Tuesday to 10 years of probation for promoting and possessing images of child sexual exploitation.
Tyler Davidson, 38, of New Rochelle was also ordered by Acting Supreme Court Justice Susan Cacace to surrender his teaching license.
Davidson was sentenced on one count of promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child and possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, both as felonies.  The sentences will run concurrently. He must also register as a sex offender.
In October 2017, an email service provider detected suspicious activity relating to Davidson’s account. After the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force referred information to the High Technology Crime Bureau of the Westchester District Attorney’s Office, investigators executed a search warrant at Davidson’s residence this past March and seized his computers.
A preliminary forensic review revealed several pornographic images of girls under the age of 10.
