Excessive speed, operator inexperience rule the causes of fatal motorcycle accident

TOWN OF CHESTER – A 29-year-old
Chester man was killed when the motorcycle he was operating ran off Route
94 just east of Garden Street in the Town of Chester and struck several
fixed objects.

Town Police said Michael Simpson was transported to Orange Regional Medical
Center in the Town of Wallkill where he died.

Preliminary investigation into the August 23 accident that occurred around
10:30 p.m. revealed the causes to be excessive speed and operator inexperience.

The Chester Fire Department, Village of Chester Police and Mobile Life
Support Services assisted at the scene.
