POUGHKEEPSIE – A woman who was a Marlboro resident jumped to her
death from the Mid-Hudson Bridge just after 12 noon on Monday.
After a 2 ½ hour search by several police agencies, the body of
a 53-year-old Marlboro woman was located and recovered by the Dutchess
County Sheriff’s office Marine Unit on the east side of the river
near Hyde Park.
The body was transported to the Health Alliance Hospital Broadway Campus.
Lloyd Police were assisted at the scene by the State Police, State Police
Aviation Unit, Ulster County Sheriff’s Office and its marine unit
and dive team, Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and marine unit,
Ulster Hose Dive Team, Highland Fire Department, Mobile Life Support Services
ambulance, police from the Town of Marlboro and City of Poughkeepsie and
the US Coast Guard.
