NEW YORK – The New York State AFL-CIO has endorsed Antonio Delgado for the 19th Congressional seat. The Democrat is facing incumbent Republican John Faso.
The union did not endorse anyone in the 18th CD pending the outcome of
the Democratic primary next month. Incumbent Sean Patrick Maloney is also
running for state attorney general. Should he win the AG primary, he will
drop re-election bid. If he loses the primary, he will continue
on in his congressional race.
The union endorsed incumbent Democrats Eliot Engel in the 16th CD and Nita Lowey in the 17th CD.
The AFL-CIO endorsed Governor Andrew Cuomo and Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul and incumbent US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand for re-election. All three Democrats are incumbents.
