WHITE PLAINS – A Mount Vernon man, a high-ranking member of the Bloods gang, was indicted on five-counts including attempted murder and two counts each of assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
The indictment alleges that on December 10, 2016, at about 1:44 in the morning, while outside a bar in Mount Vernon, Jason Garcia, also known as “G-Shine” and “Mecca-J,” 35, ordered the shooting of two people.
One victim was shot in the chest and the other in the head. Both survived, but face life-long medical difficulties.
The shootings outside the Garden Bar were captured on surveillance video.
Garcia remains in the Westchester County Jail.
