GOSHEN – Dana Distributors, the wholesaler for Anheuser-Busch and other beer products in Orange, Sullivan and Rockland counties, will expand its warehouse distribution center at its headquarters and it is seeking financial incentives from the Orange County Industrial Development Agency.
Officials of the Goshen-based company appeared before the agency board
on Thursday seeking a 10-year payment-in-lieu-of-taxes agreement, sales
tax exemption on building materials and an exemption on the mortgage filing
fee for the project, said IDA Chief Operating Officer Laurie Villasuso.
“This project is a 46,500 square foot addition to a warehouse that expands a cooler, controlled environment warehouse and associated site improvements,” Villasuso said. “They are also doing a 12,000 SF state-of-the-art return and recycling center with loading docks and associated equipment.”
The project is estimated to cost $7.8 million and include Dana’s
acquisition of a soft drink and snack distribution company from Montgomery
along with its 30 employees, bring their total workforce to 120.
