WASHINGTON – The just-approved Fiscal Year 2019 National Defense Authorization Act includes $160 million for two projects at the US Military Academy at West Point.
A total of $95 million has been authorized for an engineering center and $65 million will be used for a parking structure. Both must now make it through the appropriations process.
“These funding authorizations are a critical step to keeping the work-class military assets we have in New York fully modernized and at the peak of excellence and readiness,” said Senator Charles Schumer.
“It is vital that the men and women who serve our country have the best facilities possible and that our military research installations have the resources they need to continue providing intelligence and advanced technology for our national defense,” said Senator Kirsten Gillibrand.
