GOSHEN – A New York City man is in the Orange County Jail in lieu of $1 million cash bail or $3 million bond following his arraignment Friday on charges in connection with a fatal car crash in the Town of Wallkill.
The indictment filed against Robinson Perez, 30, charges him with aggravated vehicular homicide, vehicular manslaughter, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, reckless endangerment, manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide.
Perez allegedly drove a BMW over 100 miles per hour on Route 17M in the Town of Wallkill on July 16, 2017 prior to the fatal head-on collision that killed Dustin Mills, 30, of Middletown. The indictment maintains that Perez was driving under the influence of marijuana when he crossed into the opposite lane and struck the Mills vehicle.
