WHITE PLAINS – A Bronx man pled guilty to felony of robbery in a January Mount Vernon home robbery.
Westchester County Court Judge Barry Warhit accepted the plea from Tykeem Hines, 22, on Thursday. In September, he is expected to receive a six-year prison sentence.
On January 14, Hines allegedly committed a gunpoint robbery in an apartment on South 13th Avenue in Mount Vernon. He had negotiated to sell a Moncler brand jacket to the victim over social media. Instead, when he met the victim for the sale, he brandished a gun while inside the victim’s apartment and demanded money.
At the time of the robbery, three adults and a six-year-old child were in the apartment. Hines threatened to shoot the victims and stole the money and a bracelet before fleeing.  He threw his unloaded gun to the ground. The gun was recovered by Mount Vernon Police.
