CARMEL – The Putnam Veterans
Memorial Park became a haven for dogs this weekend when the Putnam Kennel
Club conducted its annual dog show.

A champion Bedlington terrier named “Alyssa” and
owned by Heather Foti of Garrison was a favorite
at the show

Hundreds of dogs comprising dozens of breeds converged on the park with
their owners and handlers from across the eastern U.S. for the 48-hour-long
competition.

Dogs were pampered and indulged during the preparation for the contests.

Virtually every type of dog was represented ranging from Cavalier King
Charles Spaniels, Golden Retrievers, a Bedlington terrier, Dogue Bordeaux,
Old English Sheep dogs and Welsh Corgis to Boston Terriers, Shih Tzu’s,
Bernese Mountain dogs, Bullmastiffs and Kerry Bleu terriers.
