SAUGERTIES – A 31-year-old
Mount Marion man is in the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash
bail or $20,000 bond following his arrest for allegedly stealing an ATV.
Robert Sauers III of 25 Country Club Drive was charged with felony grand
larceny.
Saugerties Police were called to 82 Snyder Road on Friday to investigate
the theft of the ATV with the owner identifying Sauers as the thief.
He was later spotted operating the vehicle in the Town of Ulster, but
evaded police when they tried to stop him.
He was taken into custody several hours later by Saugerties Police when
he returned home.
Saugerties police were assisted in the investigation by the Ulster County
Sheriff’s Office.
