MONTICELLO – The passenger in a car stopped early Sunday morning on Rock Ridge Road in the Village of Monticello has been charged with illegally possessing a gun.
Just before 3 a.m., police pulled over a car driven by Arlene Massallo, 34, of Monticello, who was charged with a misdemeanor of driving while intoxicated.
Her passenger, Christopher Madden, 23, of Monticello, was found in possession of a loaded .32 caliber handgun resulting in him being charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon. Madden was sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail pending further court action.
