ALBANY – Assemblyman James Skoufis submitted petitions with 5,000 signatures on Thursday in his bid to replace the retiring State Senator William Larkin.
Skoufis will appear on the Democratic, Independence, Working Families, Women’s Quality and Reform Party ballot lines in November.
He will face Republican Thomas Basile, currently a Stony Point town councilman.
“Our message is clearly resonating with people who are fed up with politics as usual,” said Skoufis.
