WHITE PLAINS – A Westchester County grand jury has indicted a Yonkers
man on charges of assaulting and menacing a Yonkers police officer in
April.

Ilir Ugrinaj, 27, was arraigned on Tuesday on four charges related to
an incident on April 10.

When police responded to a domestic violence call on that date, Ugrinaj
was brandishing a switchblade. The indictment alleges he menaced the officers
and injured one of them.

He was indicted on charges of menacing a police officer, criminal possession
of a weapon and assault, all as felonies, and a misdemeanor of obstructing
governmental administration.

Ugrinaj was remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail pending
a future court appearance.
