TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – A Poughkeepsie man was arrested following a month-long investigation into ongoing criminal mischief in the Mountainbrook Estates apartment complex at 134 Innis Avenue in the town of Poughkeepsie.
When officers responded to the complex for a report of a resident’s tires being slashed, they located Tyler Borzowski, 34, nearby. As the officers tried to arrest him, he threw a wooden table and swung a large tree branch in an attempt to strike them and resist arrest. He was placed into custody without injuries.
The damage caused by the criminal mischief incidents was over $1,500.
Borzowski was charged with five counts of criminal mischief, attempted assault and resisting arrest. He was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond in connection with the July 3 incident.
