ROCK HILL – Resorts World Catskills and members of the Nana’s
House Childcare Center in Rock Hill announced on Monday the rededication
of their facility after major renovations.
Pattycake Playhouse is the new professional management team for Nana’s
House.
As Nana’s House was already established in the community, and a hub for quality, professional child care, rather than create their own daycare center, as Resorts World originally intended, they decided to invest over $200,000 into the renovations needed for the center to keep it up and running, said Executive Vice President Charles Degliomini.
“It was a building that needed a lot of work that Nana’s House, a not-for-profit, could not afford,” Degliomini said. “That’s when we scuttled our idea of building our own daycare center on our property and we had the thought of partnering with Nana’s House in order of effectuate some good changes here.”
Renovations included new paint, a state-of-the-art security surveillance system, new flooring, furniture upgrades, carpentry, electrical upgrades, plumbing repairs and drywall installation.
The center remains a staple of the community and a safe, educational place for children, that in turn, helps support the growing adult workforce of Sullivan County., officials note.
