MIDDLETOWN – The Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine campus in Middletown, which graduated its first class a little over a month ago, is seeking approvals to offer a second curriculum.
College Dean Dr. Kenneth Steier said they have explored a number of possible new courses of study.
“We have looked at other things – nursing, veterinary and other programs, but right now I think mostly is a physician’s assistant school up here on this campus. They are going through the accreditation process for that right now,” he said.
That could take one to two years to secure, said Dr. Steier.
In addition to the medical school now, the Middletown campus has a master’s program as a feeder program for the osteopathic medical program.
The college will conduct its annual White Coat Ceremony welcoming new students into the medical program on July 23.
