Fire damages convenience store

Smokey fire

TOWN OF WALLKILL – Fire in a Mobil convenience store early Friday
damaged the shop.

Firefighters were called to the store at 475 Route 17M in Washington
Heights before 3 a.m. and they were met with heavy smoke and fire conditions.

The two-alarm blaze was knocked down within 45 minutes. There were no
reports of injuries.

The cause is under investigation.
