BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PA –
A Walden man and a Hancock woman are dead and Pennsylvania State Police
said they apparently committed suicide with intentional drug overdoses.
Dead are Robert Knapp, 22, of Walden and Tara White, 43, of Hancock.
Pennsylvania State troopers responded to the scene of a suspicious vehicle
along Fall Brook Road near O&W Road in Buckingham Township, Wayne
County, at about noon on Monday, June 25.
They observed a tent just off the road near the vehicle and inside the
two victims were found dead.
Police said a handwritten note and drug paraphernalia at the scene indicated
this was a double-suicide, apparently due to an intentional drug overdose.
The investigation is continuing in conjunction with the Wayne County Coroner’s
Office.
Buckingham Township is across the West Branch of the Delaware River from
New York.
