Standoff with barricaded man ends peacefully

MIDDLETOWN – Police Chief John Ewanciw didn’t go into detail, but he told the Middletown Common Council Tuesday night that a standoff with a barricaded man ended peacefully that afternoon.
The chief said the incident ended with a successful outcome.
City Police were assisted at the scene by State Police and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
