TOWN OF WALLKILL – A Goshen man was killed when the motorcycle he was operating on Crystal Run Road in the Town of Wallkill failed to negotiate a curve, entered the opposite lane and was struck head-on by an oncoming car, State Police said.
Bert Wolvers, 59, was pronounced dead at Orange Regional Medical Center following the 5:30 p.m. crash on Wednesday.
The vehicle, owned by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, was operated by Chief Assistant DA Christopher Borek. He was transported to Orange Regional with back and shoulder pain.
Police said at this time there is nothing to indicate that any criminal activity and speed does not appear to be a factor.
The State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is assisting in the ongoing investigation.
