Divers rescued the motorist from this car when it crashed and overturned
in the pond

TOWN OF HIGHLANDS – The driver of a car that ran off Route 293
near Bull Pond Road in the Town of Highlands, overturning into Bull Pond,
was rescued and rushed by helicopter to Westchester Medical Center.
The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Town of Highlands and Military Police from West Point were on the scene.
There was no immediate word as to the cause of the accident.
