O’Connor

KINGSTON – The Hannacroix man who pled guilty to robbing the Key
Bank branch on Wall Street in the City of Kingston on January 18 was sentenced
by Judge Donald Williams to two to six years in state prison.

This incident involving Ryan O’Connor was one in a series of bank
robberies alleged to have been committed by him in Albany, Rensselaer
and Ulster counties over a several week period last winter.

Kingston City Police handled the investigation and arrest of O’Connor
with assistance from the Ulster County District Attorney’s and Sheriff’s
offices and other local law enforcement agencies.

During his sentencing, O’Connor apologized for his actions and said
he wished he had done more to address his drug addiction before it got
out of control. He also told the court that he did not blame the drug
addiction because there are many drug addicts that do not rob banks.
