MIDDLETOWN – Homes at 78 and 80 Linden Avenue and a garage behind 80 Linden in Middletown were damaged by fire Wednesday evening.
The first call came in of fire in the garage on North Street with flames extending to the two residences.
Fire Chief Donald Luis said everyone got out of the homes safely. There were no reported injuries.
“All of the residents were out of the house; that was one of the first I checked that all of the residents were out,” the chief said. “I had a police officer out of uniform from New York City who was in the area. He helped me go through and searched. There was nothing going on; the occupants were out.”
Luis said the cause was not immediately known.
