Monroe fire damages house/synagogue

MONROE – Firefighters battled a four-alarm blaze in a house that includes a synagogue at 282 Mountainview Drive in the Town of Monroe.
The blaze broke out around mid-day on Tuesday and brought out firefighters from several area departments as flames burned through the roof sending fire and thick black smoke into the sky.
There have been no reports of injuries.
The cause remains under investigation.
