Queens man pleads guilty to fatal stabbing of coworker in Yonkers restaurant

WHITE PLAINS – A Queens man pled guilty in Westchester County Court on Wednesday to stabbing a coworker to death at a McLean Avenue, Yonkers restaurant in October 2017.
Smile Nicasio-Ramirez, 23, was charged with manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
Both Nicasio-Ramirez and the victim worked at a Spanish restaurant on October 17, 2017 when an argument broke out between them. Nicasio-Ramirez grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim, Rafael Pena, 54, who later died.
Nicasio-Ramirez was arrested at the scene.
He is to be sentenced in August.
