KINGSTON – A Kingston
man pled guilty in Ulster County Court to the felony of criminal sexual
act. Sean Roff, 25, of the Town of Plattekill, entered his guilty plea
on May 16, admitting that he had oral sex with another person under the
age of 15.
Roff waived his right to appeal.
Roff was arrested on July 23, 2017 following an investigation by the State
Police in the Highland barracks. He was indicted by an Ulster County grand
jury on December 21, 2017.
When sentenced in August, Roff faces a maximum of seven years in state
prison followed by 10 years of post-release supervision. He will also
be required to register as a sex offender for a minimum of 20 years.
