NEWBURGH – A raid on a storefront at 198 Broadway in Newburgh last
Thursday has resulted in the arrests of two men and the confiscation of
illegal drugs.
City Police and State Police Community Stabilization Unit officers raided
the storefront at 6:40 p.m. on May 17 and arrested Daryl Johnson, also
known as Daryl Maise, 53, and Heath Black, 50, both of the City of Newburgh,
charging them both with two felony counts of criminal possession of a
controlled substance.
Officers confiscated 113 grams of cocaine, some $3,700 in cash and miscellaneous
drug paraphernalia include false bottom cans commonly used to conceal
drugs.
