NEWBURGH – City officials have been struggling for years to find funds sufficient to fill the large numbers of potholes and remediate poor street conditions in Newburgh.
With the city armed with state and Orange County funds, Councilman Jonathan Jacobson proposed that repaving work could begin immediately, especially since he identified $250,000 in the bank at this time.
As a result, the city public works department will begin repaving today, targeting the worst streets in Newburgh.
