MID-HUDSON – The third
annual Hudson Valley Gives initiative gets underway in less than one week.
The 24-hour online pledging initiative is the brainchild of Community
Foundation of Orange and Sullivan Counties.
Today (Friday) is the last day that non-profit organizations can sign
up to receive pledged donations on the big day, Wednesday, May 16. Officials
of non-profit agencies who want to sign up for pledges may do so on www.HVGives.org.
Community Foundation’s Michelle Hathaway said to date, over 200
agencies have signed up. A total of 165 received donations on Hudson Valley
Gives day last year.
From 12 a.m. on May 16 through 11:59 p.m., persons may log on to www.HVGives.organd
pledge to their favorite non-profit.
