NEWBURGH – A 21-year-old
City of Newburgh man has been charged with possessing an illegal weapon
and marijuana.
Orange County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over Tyshe Williams, Jr.
on Liberty Street shortly after noon on Sunday for a vehicle and traffic
violation.
Williams was found to be unlicensed, had 94 bags of marijuana in his jacket
and a loaded handgun in the vehicle.
He was charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon and misdemeanor
possession of marijuana.
Williams was remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash
bail or $50,000 bond.
