GREENPORT – A Montgomery County man is charged with falsifying business records as a felony for allegedly using false bar codes to steal merchandise from a local business in Greenport.
Michael Peterson, 47, was arrested by State Police from the Livingston barracks following an investigation begun in March along with troopers from the Herkimer barracks. He was also charged with petit larceny and sent to the Columbia County Jail without bail.
