Man arrested for possession of stolen gun

TOWN OF NEWBURGH – A traffic
stop just after midnight on May 2 on Route 32 – North Plank Road
– in the Town of Newburgh, led to the arrest of a passenger in a
car.

Noel Lugo, 20, of Plattekill, was charged with criminal possession of
a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property, both felonies, and
unlawful possession of marijuana. He was in possession of a gun reported
stolen in the Town of Newburgh in 2016.

Lugo was remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

The driver, Angel Giron, 20, of Highland, was charged with unlawful possession
of marijuana, unsafe lane change and possession of an alcoholic beverage
in a motor vehicle.

Arresting officers were Hannah Lake, Derek Campbell and Michael Henderson.
