Man arrested immediately after attempted bank robbery

NEWBURGH – A man who tried to rob the TD Bank branch at 800 Broadway in Newburgh early Monday afternoon was arrested a short time later.
Police say Ivan Jackson, 36, of Newburgh, demanded money of a teller, who hit the panic alarm resulting in Jackson fleeing.
Jackson was apprehended down the block and taken into custody. He is charged with attempted robbery.
