Seven face federal narcotics trafficking charges in Orange County

WHITE PLAINS – Seven people face federal charges of drug trafficking in Newburgh. All but one are in custody.   
They are charged with conspiring to bring large amounts of cocaine to the streets of Newburgh.
The indictment alleges that from about 2017 up to and including about March of this year Edwin Guerrier, also known as Eddy F; Carlos Fabian; and Fernando Ferrer conspired to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine. Tamika Sweat, William Jones, also known as Polly; Maurice Murphy, also known as Marky D; and Eugene Johnson conspired to distribute 500 grams and more of cocaine.  Sweat remains at large.
Guerrier, Fabian and Ferrer face from 10 years to life in prison.  Sweat, Jones, Murphy and Johnson each face from five to 40 years in federal prison.
