KINGSTON – Evelyn Clarke, Ulster County’s commissioner of human rights and director of the youth bureau will retire after six years with county government.
County Executive Michael Hein announced on Wednesday that he has appointed Christina “Nina” Dawson to both positions.
Dawson served two terms as a Kingston City alderwoman and chairwoman of the Community Development Block Grant Committee.
She will begin both positions on May 7 while she awaits confirmation by the county legislature.
