KINGSTON – A Rondout Riverfront
Community Coalition is being formed to enhance and revitalize the Rondout
waterfront in the City of Kingston.
The project is being spearheaded by the Hudson River Maritime Museum and the city.
Museum Board President Robert Burhans said the coalition will bring all stakeholders together.
“The Rondout is just bigger than the waterfront; there are businesses, there are other cultural institutions and with conversations with the City of Kingston we advanced the idea of pulling everybody together into a coalition and trying to work together to make the Rondout a great place to visit, but also a sustainable place, a resilient place to live, to work for everyone to use the synergy to develop a better place,” Burhans said.
The first session of the group will be on Thursday, April 12 at 8 a.m. at the Maritime Museum. Persons interested in being involved should attend.
