Kingston woman charged with trying to smuggle drugs into county jail

KINGSTON – A Kingston
woman is under arrest after she went to the Ulster County Jail to visit
an inmate and was found in possession of drugs.

On Saturday, April 7, at about 1 p.m., a sheriff’s corrections K-9
unit was conducting checks of visitors and a search of Kelly Davis, 43,
revealed a large amount of cocaine hidden in her belongings.

She was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and
a second count of possession with intent to sell.

Davis was remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail pending a future
court appearance.
