POUGHKEEPSIE – Dutchess County Government employees who are members of the CSEA can expect a new four-year contract following this coming Monday evening’s county legislature session.
Lawmakers are set to approve the agreement that covers the period from January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2020.
The Budget, Finance and Personnel Committee of the legislature approved terms of the agreement on Thursday evening.
Salary increases for county workers represented by the union include 2.5 percent in 2017 and 2.25 percent in each of the remaining three years of the pact.
Depending upon the date of hire, employees will have to contribute between five percent and 20 percent of the health insurance premiums with the county picking up the bulk of the premiums for them, their spouses and eligible dependents.
Negotiating teams for the county and CSEA have approved the contract terms.
