GOSHEN – A Newburgh man faces 10 years in state prison when sentenced next month in Orange County Court following his guilty plea on Thursday to a felony charge of criminal sale of a controlled substance.
When Joe Bailey, also known as “Capital,” 37, pled guilty before Judge Robert Freehill, he admitted to having sold over one-half ounce of crack cocaine and heroin in the vicinity of South Lander and Spring streets in the City of Newburgh in May 2017.
Bailey was arrested by the Orange County Drug Task Force following a grand jury indictment.
“Anyone who sells narcotics in these amounts and for this amount of money deserves a severe state prison sentence,” said District Attorney David Hoovler.
