Wallkill Police save second overdose victim this week

TOWN OF WALLKILL – For the second time in a matter of days, Wallkill Town Police officers saved a drug overdose victim with the Narcan opioid reversal drug.
On Wednesday, just before midnight, police responded to a call of a man found behind a Berkman Drive residence. Officers located the 30-year-old Wallkill resident unconscious on the ground. He was unresponsive and demonstrating the signs of an overdose.
Narcan was administered. Within a minute, the victim regained consciousness and was transported to Orange Regional Medical Center in Wallkill.
