GREENVILLE – The State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating a series of daytime residential burglaries in the towns of Greenville and Wawayanda.
Police said the suspects target houses that appear to be empty while the residents are at work. One suspect knocks on the front door to ensure that no one is home, while the other suspect waits as the getaway driver. Once ensuring that the house is empty, the suspect breaks the glass of a rear door, unlocks it, enters and steals jewelry from the master bedroom.
The suspect vehicle appears to be an older model light colored Subaru with out-of-state registration.
Anyone with information and/or leads is asked to call Investigator Brad Natalizio (845) 344-5351.
