RIFTON – State Police Troop
F divers were back in the Wallkill River near Rifton Monday searching
for any evidence of the man whose kayak overturned back in mid-February.
The search was called off after three days because the river was covered
in some areas with solid ice coupled with the rapid current. At
the time of the incident, the kayak was recovered.
With the warmer weather, divers returned to the area in search of clues.
Police have not released the man’s identity.
