POUGHKEEPSIE – A Poughkeepsie woman was arrested following an investigation into a February 27 report that she had seen threats against Poughkeepsie High School students on Snapchat.
City police said Adrianna Wallace, 17, reported she saw the threats including one that read in part, “Poughkeepsie high school students take your pick because I’m coming for you on March 1.” There was a list of student names, which included hers along with a picture of five guns.
City Police investigated with the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office, the FBI, Poughkeepsie School District and Dutchess Sheriff’s Office.
On Wednesday, March 14, Wallace, who originally reported the incident, was charged with the felony of making a terroristic threat and a misdemeanor for making a punishable false written statement all in connection with the Snapchat posting and reporting the threat to police.  She was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
